Team Background:
After marrying and moving to Colorado, Jesse attended a Promise Keepers conference where he gave his life to the Lord. Soon after, Beverly rededicated her life to the Lord and they began an Experiencing God study. During this study they both felt a strong call to mission work. Jesse attended the Calvary of Albuquerque School of Ministry in 1997, and in 1998, the couple began serving as full-time missionaries in Jinja, Uganda. Ministry Description:
Jesse is the Senior Pastor of Called Christians Calvary Chapel in Jinja, Uganda. As Senior Pastor, he teaches two Sunday services and the Wednesday night Bible study and leads the Friday night prayer service.

Jesse oversees the Prison Ministry, which ministers to hundreds of men weekly in several area prisons. He and the national staff teach Bible studies, counsel, and provide physical assistance to the men. In 2004, Jesse was granted permission to minister to death row inmates.

Jesse also directs and teaches the Calvary Chapel of Jinja School of Ministry and directs the continuing education program for Calvary Chapel village pastors. Recently Jesse visited the village of Ogongora and conducted a Village teaching on christian apologetics.

Beverly teaches in the women’s prison, conducts a women’s Bible study on Sundays in a local village, and teaches English reading and writing classes during the week.

Beverly oversees the prisoner physical assistance part of the prison ministry. This involves the supply of vegetable seeds for inmate gardens, attention to medical needs, and the purchase of medicines, food, and clothing. She also oversees the children’s ministry and the orphan sponsorship program. She manages the household, property, and staff of the mission and as a former nurse, she also oversees the medical care for missionary and national staff, their families, and many church members.
